Inspired by Vidigueira and Vasco da Gama’s journey to India, we have developed the packaging for the new VDG range from the Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito.

Vasco da Gama was bestowed with the title of 1st Count of Vidigueira in the 16th century by King Manuel I for his accomplishments. Connected to this land ever since, it is the historical figure of the navigator and his achievements in discovering the maritime route to India that provide inspiration for the new range, comprising the White, Red, and Antão Vaz references. 

The challenge posed by the Cooperative Winery was clear: to develop bold packaging that pays tribute to Vasco da Gama and his achievements while also offering a modern and refreshing approach to their wines, promoting a journey from Vidigueira to the world. 

We also designed the transportation boxes, the display, and the texts for the back labels of the VDG range.
